RAJAPACK UK, the Bedfordshire-based packaging distributor, has changed its name to RAJA UK, bringing the UK business into line with the brand used by parent company RAJA Group in Europe.
The supplier says it serves more than 43,000 UK businesses and has traded in the country since 1998. RAJA Group was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names were combined to create the company name. The group now operates in 19 European countries.
Same staff, range and next-day service
Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said the name had changed but what customers rely on had not, citing the same people, the same product range and the same next-day service. Noting that the peak trading period is only weeks away, he said the company had also made it easier to plan for, through a free tool that estimates the cost of the busiest weeks.
Free peak-cost planning tool
Launched alongside the rebrand, the Prepare for Peak tool is intended to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and where they might save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.
- Users choose their industry to see how far orders typically rise during peak, based on benchmarks combining Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data covering 2023 to 2025.
- They then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.
- The company says the output is an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation.
According to RAJA UK, using the group name gives customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries the group serves.
