Mace Construct to take Forco name after New Year

The UK contractor will adopt a shorter name and pair it with a new strategy and productivity targets through 2030.

Mace Construct will begin trading as Forco after the New Year, the UK contractor has announced, following the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses in March. Under that agreement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand, while the contracting business will keep the Mace Construct name until the transition.

The company said the Forco name is intended to be short, high-impact and easy to pronounce. It will be introduced alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through 2030.

Leadership position

Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said the business had spent 35 years improving standards and helping the industry advance. He said the new name reflects a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-looking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds also sought to reassure clients that the operating qualities behind the business would remain in place. He pointed to its culture, values and people, and said clients could expect the same teams, the same focus on delivery and the same approach to creating lasting places and infrastructure.

The company said the Forco identity would be introduced with a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030, but the announcement did not set out the detailed measures behind those targets.
